Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) is inviting applications for a total of 1679 permanent positions, including Forest Guard (Van Rakshak) and Kshetra Rakshak within State govt's Forest Department, as well as Jail Prahari (Prison Guard) and Assistant Jail Superintendent within the Jail Department.
Candidates must verify all eligibility compliance and physical standards before applying by the last date of 14-03-2026. These roles are dedicated to the protection of forest resources and wildlife, as well as maintaining the security and internal administration of the state's correctional facilities.

Written Examination (Applicable for All Posts)
The written examination will be conducted by Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) for Forest Guard, Forester (Kshetra Rakshak), Jail Prahari, and Assistant Jail Superintendent posts.
The test will consist of objective type questions from subjects such as General Knowledge, General Hindi, General English, General Mathematics, and General Science. Questions will be asked at High School level for Forest Guard, Forester, and Jail Prahari posts, while the level will be graduation for Assistant Jail Superintendent posts.
The examination will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. Each question will carry 1 mark and the duration of the examination will be 2 hours. The question paper will be available in Hindi and English medium. There will be Negative Marking of .25 Marks for every wrong answer.

Minimum qualifying marks will be 33% for Unreserved category candidates and 23% for SC, ST and other reserved category candidates. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates will receive a 10% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks, however selection will still be based on merit within the EWS category.
Candidates must select 4 preferred exam cities while filling the application form. Exam centers will be allotted based on preference and seat availability. Exam Cities - Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, Guna, Bhopal, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi, Ujjain, Anuppur.

Remaining selection process for Forest Guard and Forester (Kshetra Rakshak) Posts will consist of Physical Measurement Test and Walking Test, Document Verification, and preparation of the Final Merit List.

Final Merit List

Fee Structure :
Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -
- Unreserved Category Candidates: Rs 500.
- OBC/SC/ST/Divyang (PwD) Candidates of MP Domicile : Rs 250
- MP Online Portal Charges for submitting application form: Rs 60 if filled through Kiosk, Rs 20 if not filled through Kiosk.
How to Apply :
The application must be submitted online through the MP Online portal or authorized MP Online kiosks. Candidates should follow the steps below to complete the application process.
- Visit the MP Online portal or an authorized MP Online kiosk and open the online application form for the concerned recruitment.
- Fill all required details in the application form carefully according to documents.
- Upload the required scanned files including:
- Recent passport size photograph. Ensure the photograph follows these instructions:
- The photograph must be recent and not older than 3 months from the application date.
- The photograph should be clear with a light background.
- Polaroid photographs will not be accepted.
- The candidate must face the camera directly in the photograph.
- The candidate’s name and date should be written below the photograph using a black pen.
- The same uploaded photograph will be used for identification during the examination and candidates must bring at least 5 copies of the same photograph to the examination centre.

- Recent passport size photograph. Ensure the photograph follows these instructions:
- Upload required supporting documents if applicable:
- Date of birth proof (10th mark sheet or certificate)
- Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates
- Disability certificate for PwD candidates
- EWS certificate if applicable
- Domicile certificate issued by competent authority
- Other relevant certificates if required
- Enter Aadhaar number or Aadhaar Virtual ID in the application form for identity verification. Biometric verification may also be conducted during the examination process.
- Review all the entered details carefully before final submission of the application form.
- Pay the required application or portal fee using:

- Debit Card
- Internet Banking
- Payment through MP Online kiosk
- After successful payment, a computerized receipt and confirmation of application submission will be generated.
- Download and print the submitted application form and keep it safely for future use.
- The printed application form should not be sent to MPESB at this stage. It only needs to be kept by the candidate for record and may be required during examination or document verification.
- Online correction facility will be available within the specified correction period (Upto 19-03-2026).
- Candidates may correct the application form multiple times during the correction window.
- Correction charges will be:
